The anode plate, as one of the most important equipment in the pyrometallurgy electrowinning system, is widely used in Copper electrowinning, Zinc electrowinning, Nickel electrowinning, Manganese electrowinning and other electrowinning plants. The lead alloy anode plates designed and manufactured by Metalcess have the characteristics of high mechanical strength, high corrosion resistance, long service life and low production cost. Our Copper EW anode plates from have a service life of 4-5 years, and Zinc EW anode plates have 2 years of service life. The lead alloy composition and effective area of the anode plates can be customized according to the requirements of customers.
Based on over 20 years of experience in hydrometallurgy industry, considering the practical application requirements and the eletrowinning technological process parameters control, Metalcess designs and manufactures high-quality lead alloy anode plates with the characteristics of high mechanical strength, high corrosion resistance, long service life and low production cost. Our anode plates for copper electro-winning have a service life of 4-5 years, and the anode plates for zinc electrowinning can be used for 2 years.
Product: Anode Plate, Lead Anode Plate, Lead Alloy Anode Plate, Pb-Sn-Ca anode, Pb-Ag-Ca anode
Applications: Copper electrowinning, Zinc electrowinning, Nickel electrowinning, Manganese electrowinning and other electrowinning plants.
Material: Multi-element Lead alloy with rare earth elements. The lead alloy content and effective plate area can be customized or OEM according to clients' drawings.
Working principle: The anode plate operates as the anode (positive electrode) in the electrolytic cell. Under the action of direct current, it undergoes an oxidation reaction. Its main function is to conduct electricity and maintain structural stability and electrochemical activity in a highly corrosive electrolyte environment, thereby ensuring that the target metal ions are efficiently and stably reduced and deposited at the cathode (negative electrode).

Anode plate material: multi-element Lead-based alloy (Pb, Ca, Sr, Sn, Ce, etc.), with 0.06~0.10% Ca, 0.04~0.05% Sr, 0.8±0.02% Sn, 0.02~0.03% Ce, and the rest being Lead. The alloy elements content at each point on the plate surface should be basically uniform.
Dimension tolerance: after the lead alloy plate is flattened, the plate surface curvature shall be ≤ 3mm/m, the thickness of the anode conductivity shall be ± 0.2mm, the width shall be ± 2mm, the total height shall be ± 2mm, the length deviation of the electric rod shall be ± 2mm, and the curvature shall be ≤ 1mm/m.
The surface quality of the Lead alloy plate shall comply with Paragraph 2.2 of the GB147 standard, which stipulates that the surface of the plate shall be smooth, clean, and flat, and shall not have cracks, delaminations, and slags. It is allowed to have partial, minor, and no more than the allowable deviation in thickness of the plate defects such as indentation, peeling, small bubbles, and scratches.
The conductive copper bars must undergo two tin plating processes (hot tin plating and cold tin plating) for electroplating treatment.
The thickness of the lead coating is uniform, adheres closely to the copper bar, and the surface is smooth without burrs, spurs, air holes or inclusions. The surface scratches are less than 0.3mm deep.
After the qualified lead alloy plate is welded to the anode conductive beam, it is required to be firmly bonded without delamination, false welding, air holes, and the vertical angle between the two is 90° ± 30'.
The casting blank plate is processed by hot rolling first and then cold rolling: to increase the alloy density, reduce the air holes and inclusions in the alloy plate, and improve the corrosion resistance of the alloy plate.

The quality control of the production process is fully implemented according to the ISO9000 quality management system with complete production records, traceable process control, qualified products for transfer. The alloy composition is tested daily with a sampling rate of 30%. The testing method uses both chemical analysis and atomic absorption. At the same time, metallographic analysis is conducted to ensure the uniformity and stability of the alloy composition.
